Work on Papua New Guinea's Electrification Project resumed in Madang province this week after a delay caused by Covid-19.
The scheme, supported by the US, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, aims to bring electricity to 75 percent of PNG by 2030.
This week in Madang's Sumkar district, work is continuing on a six kilometre stretch of power line from Mirap primary school to Tokain Village.
The Post Courier newspaper reported materials, including power poles and electrical fittings arrived on site last month while workers were still in lockdown.
