Witnesses are being sought in French Polynesia following the first fatal road accident of the year.

A six-year-old girl died of her injuries after she fell with her father in a scooter accident in Paea on Thursday.
Police want to establish whether a vehicle may have contributed to the accident and fled the scene.
The girl, who died on the way to hospital, was wearing a helmet but reports say it wasn't of an approved type.
Her father suffered serious injuries.
