The weather in Rarotonga in the Cook Islands is calm and sunny today after the island was battered by a storm yesterday.
There were winds gusting up to 90 kilometres an hour and one resident said around Avarua there was significant flooding and sea surges.
He said debris was thrown up over the sea wall road that leads to the airport and that was closed for a period yesterday.
