Bualoi made a pass just north of Anatahan early this morning.

The position allowed the strongest and typhoon-force winds to keep north and offshore of Saipan as it passed.

Authorities on Tinian and Saipan have continued to advise people not to venture out so that officials can assess any potential damage or blocked roads.

The public is advised to wait for the all clear.

The category 4 typhoon continues to move northwest at around 22 kilometres an hour with maximum sustained winds of over 209 km/hr.
