Sir Puka Temu has been visiting the Bougainville atolls with the ABG and national government roadshow.

New Dawn FM reported him saying Port Moresby had released all the funds needed by the Commission to conduct the referendum this year.

Sir Puka, referring to the Greater Autonomy option in the referendum, said it was like a child wishing to marry under the protection and support of its parents.

He said Independence was like a child who decides to sever all ties with the parents and have no one to go to for support.

Sir Puka said the decision people make must be made with a full understanding of these two choices.
