French Polynesia wholesale company fined $US2.3m

One of French Polynesia's main wholesale company has been fined for abusing its dominant market position.

In its first ruling, the competition watchdog fined the Wane group $US2.3 million.

It found that the company had been billing retailers excessively and without justification for cold storage of beverages.

The Wane group has decided to challenge the fine and taken the case to the appeal court in Paris.
