Morocco's Ambassador to Vanuatu, Karim Medrek, has assured a committee raising funds to buy a mammography machine that it will help.
The committee wants to have the first mammography machine installed at Vila Central Hospital.
Our correspondent said the committee has been raising funds but struggling to get anywhere near its goal of $US438,000, managing to collect just over $US17,500.
Now Mr Medrek, who is based in Canberra, said he will help to make sure that the machine is purchased and sent to the country within two months.
