Young Pacific people in New Zealand living in the Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Whanganui/Manawatu will now have access to life-changing learning and earning opportunities.
The Minister for Pacific Peoples Aupito William Sio has launched the Tupu Aotearoa programme and says it will empower youth to develop new skills and earn a good living.
He said Tupu Aotearoa is about changing young peoples' lives through new opportunities and pastoral support - whether it is finding the right kind of job or training, advice on preparing for interviews or career counselling.
Seven organisations have been approved to provide this support in the Bay of Plenty, Waikato, and Whanganui-Manawatu.
They include K'aute Pasifika Trust, Solomon Group, Moving Mountains, SENZ Charitable Trust, Horowhenua Learning Centre Trust, In-Work New Zealand Limited and Alignz Recruitment.
