The Papua New Guinea Prime Minister, Peter O'Neill, will lead a delegation to Russia later this year.

The invitation came during last year's APEC leaders' summit in Port Moresby and confirmed by Mr O"Neill when he met with President Putin during the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing last week.
Mr O'Neill said the focus of the visit will be on the global LNG sector.
He said there are LNG industry synergies and investment opportunities that can be discussed, while Russia has extensive technical experience in gas production.
