The Solomon Star reported that the final voter list was released yesterday by the country's chief electoral officer, Mose Saitala.

The number constitutes an increase of over 72,000 voters over the list published before the last general election in 2014.

Mr Saitala said in terms of gender, around 48.5 percent of voters were female, and 51.5 percent were male.

According to him, the final list will be published across the country in coming days, and uploaded on the Electoral Commission's [www.siec.gov.sb website].
