An officer at the Samoa Ministry of Justice and Courts Administration is being investigated by police for allegedly misappropriating $US38,100 dollars.

Samoa Observer reports the deputy chief executive of the ministry, Ve'atauia Fa'atasi Puleiata has confirmed the investigation.
The paper said police were called in after an initial investigation by the Ministry of Finance began in September.
