Sir Salamo Injia's term as Papua New Guinea's Chief Justice has ended, with the government yet to appoint a replacement.

Sir Salamo's 10 year term officially concluded on Wednesday.
A fellow Supreme Court judge, Sir Gibbs Salika, is now acting Chief Justice.
The National Executive Council is expected to announce a permanent appointment soon.
