The Senate passed the House Federal Aviation Authority bill by 93-6 and it now goes to Donald Trump for his endorsement.

The measure, promoted by American Samoa's US Congresswoman, Aumua Amata, will allow foreign carriers operating within the territory to renew their US waivers every 180-days, instead of every 30-days, as is the situation now.

Aumua Amata called it a major legislative success for American Samoa, which will help ensure reliable air service within American Samoa and help hold down travel costs.
