Sport: Fijian Drua happy at home

9:59 am on 29 September 2018

The Fijian Drua are hoping to pick up where they left off in this afternoon's home clash against New South Wales Country in Suva.

The Drua regained top spot in the Australian National Rugby Championship with a road victory against the Sydney Rays last weekend.

But it's home soil where the Fijian side are at their best, having racked up 16 tries in their first two matches of the season.

Today's game has been shifted from Nausori to ANZ Stadium in Suva, which has a capacity of 15,000.

Coach Senirusi Seruvakula expects his team to maintain their momentum against a team on a three match losing run.

"Definitely we need that badly that win again and see if we can still be ahead with a chance of a home semi final but we just need to prepare well."

Senirusi Seruvakula said it's important the Drua get off to a fast start and execute better at set pieces.
