Governor Ralph Torres, however, is still advising residents to maintain precautionary measures for gusty winds and heavy rain showers from the tail of the storm.

Mr Torres also ordered all government offices on Saipan and Tinian to reopen at lunchtime.

Most schools have cancelled classes today due to the bad weather.

A Typhoon Watch still remains in effect for the islands of Agrihan, Pagan, and Alamagan and flooding is still possible across the CNMI.

On Monday, Typhoon Cimaron brought over 150mm of rain to Saipan, causing flooding in several areas.
