A former police officer from China has been sentenced to five years in prison in the Northern Marianas for possession of large amounts of methamphetamine or "ice".

According to police records, 27-year-old Fei Long Zheng sold 3.6 gross grams of meth to a confidential source in December 2016.
The Drug Enforcement Task Force then executed a search and arrest warrant and found 31.1 gross grams at the defendant's residence.
Zheng used to work with the special police in China and he moved to Saipan five years ago where he worked at a Chinese restaurant washing dishes.
