It's been confirmed that the PNG Hunters will play their Round 19 Intrust Super Cup rugby league game against the Norths Devils in Lae on July 22.

The Lae facilty had been pencilled in to host the Country round game but a final inspection was to be carried out before the match took place.

PNGRFL CEO Reatau Rau said the condition of the playing surface and other requirements had now been met for the game to proceed.

Rau said the theme for the Country Week was 'Get in the Game' so community engagements and coaching clinics involving Hunters players and staff would take place around the game.

"The QRL, (Queensland Rugby League), has advised that activities such as clinics, school visits, junior league visits, coaching and referees course updates and female participation visits must be undertaken at each host venues," Rau said.

Rau said it was the first time for residents of Lae and the Highlands to see the Hunters in person and he is hoping it will be a sucessful occasion.
