There has been another fire at the SLN mining site in Kouaoua in New Caledonia.
It was the fifth such fire this year but reports say the damage to the belt system this time was minimal.
The belts are used to feed nickel ore to the coast for shipping to the SLN nickel smelter in Noumea.
Last week a 31-year-old, who said he acted alone, was given an 18-month jail sentence for setting a fire earlier this month.
So far he has been the only person to be apprehended for the fires.
