Niue's Chamber of Commerce says a new mobile phone app offers visitors a great tool with up-to-date information about what's happening on the island.

The Chambers' head Rae Finlay said local businesses on Niue created the app with help from a New Zealand company as a way to enhance the tourism experience.
The app, which provides general information such as tide charts and weather updates, also provides valuable feedback on who is engaging with the island.
Ms Finlay said the response to the app since last week's launch has been very positive.
"Targetted at visitors that are in Niue, potential visitors, so before they come to Niue, it's an opportunity for them to do a little bit of research about what's on offer as far as accommodation or activities and tours. And the ability for them to be able to link to those businesses and pre-book."
Rae Finlay said the app is called GoNiue and it can be updated in real time, meaning seasonal adjustments such as operating hours can be made easily.
