Israel said its on hand to further assist Fiji in agricultural training.

Mr Seruiratu conveyed the Fijian government's best wishes to the State of Israel for its 70th anniversary and acknowledged both countries' long and favourable relationship since 1970.

As the leaders exchanged pleasantries, thousands of Palestinans protested Israel's ten year blockade of the Gaza strip where 60 protesters were shot dead this week by Israeli snipers.
