A prominent Fiji lawyer has been charged and accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice and interference with witnesses.

Iftikar Iqbal Ahmad Khan is charged with one count of conspiracy to defeat justice and interference with witnesses.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions says it is alleged that in January 2015, Mr Khan attempted to pervert the course of justice by interfering with the evidence of witnesses for the State in a pending case before the Nadi Magistrates' Court.
Mr Khan appeared at the Lautoka Magistrates' Court this morning where he was granted bail.
The matter has been adjourned until 23 May.
