The Irish ambassador to Solomon Islands says he wants to build ties between both countries in areas such as climate change and co-operation at the United Nations.

Breandan O'Caollaie presented his credentials to the governor general, Sir Frank Kabui, on Thursday.
He said Ireland would greatly support Solomon Islands support in its campaign to win a seat on the UN Security Council.
