The government has proposed a restoration bill which will establish a Restoration Authority.

Prime Minister Peter O'Neill said it is time for rebuilding or moving those people whose communities have been destroyed.

He said finding land and resettling these people is the priority.

The Post Courier reported the prime minister saying within three or four years the Restoration Authority is expected to have completed its work.

This is the only issue MPs will consider today, with the parliamentary session proper due to start on Tuesday next week.
