Surrounded by family members on Guam, Madeleine Bordallo launched her campaign for a ninth term yesterday.

Ms Bordallo will be running against fellow Democrat Michael San Nicolas, who launched his campaign in November.

The island will vote for its representative in November's mid-term elections.

As a territory of the United States, Guam elects one member to the lower House in Washington. But that member has no voting rights.
