The pilot of a light plane was found dead on Tuesday in the mountains of Papua New Guinea after radioing for help on Saturday.
The Post Courier reports it took three days for rescuers to reach the crash-site in Morobe Province.
Bad weather and the heavily vegetated steep terrain made it difficult for rescuers to reach the trapped pilot who was flying for North Coast Aviation.
A specialist team from the Porgera Joint Venture Mine was brought in to abseil from a helicopter in order to reach the pilot who'd initially survived the crash.

It's reportedly the second air tragedy in two years involving a Britten-Norman Islander plane.
Twelve people including a pilot were killed when an aircraft owned by Sunbird Aviation crashed in Western Province in April last year.
PNG's Accident Investigation Commission is investigating the latest crash.
