Reports from French Polynesia say a strike by Tahiti-based flight attendants of Air France has ended.

Tahiti Nui TV reports an agreement had been reached after three weeks of strike action by about 90 percent of the staff.

No details of the settlement have been reported but the TV station said flight attendants will resume work today.

Air France leased planes from Air Tahiti Nui and Hi Fly of Portugal to maintain its links between Papeete and Los Angeles during the dispute.

However, the strike delayed freight shipments to Tahiti.
