People in Kiribati are being urged to use water wisely as drought takes hold in the country.

Reports from the island group indicate little rain has fallen and the Kiribati government has issued advice saying the drought may last for three months.
Community groups, churches and villages with water tanks have been asked to look after their tanks and to share water.
