The Ministry of Infrastructure reported that the Mataniko China Town bridge would be closed until November 2018.

The old Mataniko Bridge near Mokolo will also be shut down, but for only one month.

This is to allow for the building of a two lane road into China Town and for maintenance.

The Ministry of Infrastructure has asked for the public's understanding and patience while the work is underway.
