The corporation's chief executive Esther Muña said TakeCare Health Plans, StayWell Saipan and Calvo's Insurance owed at least $US2 million each for services rendered by the hospital to their policy holders.

Ms Muna said the corporation needed the money to increase salaries, improve services, and hire more doctors for Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.

The corporation was allocated $US90 million in government funding for the current financial year.
