Two police officers in Fiji have been charged with helping two prisoners escape.
Eroni Serukalou and Samisoni Navika were supposed to take remand prisoners Josefa Nadomo and Aisake Naio to a remand centre in Natabua earlier this month.
But instead, it is alleged they accepted a payment from the prisoners and dropped them off at homes in Lautoka, before picking them up ahead of their next court hearing.
FBC News reported that the officers appeared in court on Saturday, where they were remanded in custody.
