Tonga's 'Ikale Tahi rugby team will boast two new props, including former All Blacks training squad member Ben Tameifuna, when they take the field against Wales at Eden Park on Friday night.
Latu Talakai, who turned out for Waikato in last year's Mitre 10 Cup, and Tameifuna will bookend former NZ U20 player Paula Ngaumo in the front row when they make their debuts for Tonga.
Crusaders halfback Leon Fukofuka and Auckland-based wing Kiti Taimani are set to make their international debuts off the bench.
Veteran lock Joe Tuineau and Taranaki front rower Sione Lea were ruled out of the match through injury while live-wire and former Blues loosie Jack Ram has been rested with former captain Nili Latu wearing the number 7 jersey for his 53rd appearance.
Centre Siale Piutau will captain the side.
