FBC News reported Ratu Inoke Kubuabola told parliament police can make available four platoons of 30 men deployed to any part of the country within 24 hours.

Mr Inoke, who was responding to a question from the opposition, said riot equipment is in stock at the police special base in Nasinu.

He said officers have the skills, and equipment including protective shields and batons are available at all divisions.
