The United States' ambassador to Papua New Guinea, Catherine Ebert-Grey, has unveiled plans for its new embassy complex in Port Moresby.

The building and compound facility is to be located at the Konedobu waterfront.
It's planned to accommodate 200 people including 13 US Marine Corps personnel.
Ms Ebert-Grey told EMTV that part of the facility is expected to be completed just before PNG hosts the APEC 2018 leaders summit.
"Because there is some construction already on the ground that has been completed, we expect this high-tech building to be done in about 30 to 36 months. But my project manager, engineer Deya Desouza, has promised me that at least the facade and landscaping will be done before November 2018, so we want to add to the landscape of this city when it comes to APEC," said Ebert-Grey

Catherine Ebert-Grey, who is also ambassador to Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, says the new building will symbolise the importance the US places on its relationship with the three countries.
