Sport: Stargroth Amean back for PNG Hunters

11:51 am on 18 March 2017

The Papua New Guinea Hunters welcome back fullback Stargroth Amean as they look to build on their unbeaten start to the Intrust Super Cup against the South Logan Magpies Sunday afternoon.

The Hunters are one of four unbeaten teams after two rounds, alongside premiers Redcliffe, the Townsville Blackhawks and Wynnum Manly.

Michael Marum's side only won four games on the road last season but began 2017 on a winning note, beating Central Queensland Capras in Rockhampton.

There's no long drive this weekend, with the Magpies based in South Brisbane and coming off an away win on the Sunshine Coast.

PNG Kumuls fullback Stargroth Amean was back in the number one jersey, after recovering from a suspected fractured collarbone.

He replaces Bland Abavu, who's been suspended by the QRL judiciary for tripping in the home victory over the Easts Tigers.

Paul Wawa is also set to make his Hunters debut on the right wing in place of William Aquila.
