The Autonomous Bougainville Government is being called on to honour those missing in Papua New Guinea's civil war with a monument.

Each year those missing from the conflict are remembered on the International Day of the Disappeared on 30 August.
This year the event coincided with the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Bougainville Peace Agreement.
A spokesperson for families of The Missing says people are questioning how long they can keep marking the day without anything tangible to remember them by.
Peter Garuai said those missing died in service to Bougainville and that should be recognised.
"Something tangible for The Missing's families you know. A memorial or even sustainability, that's one thing that's coming out clear for them."
Mr Garuai's comments are echoed by the head of the Families Association in the north, Scholastica Miriori, who says the ABG and its PNG counterpart should together erect a monument to represent the missing and those in mass graves.
