Former Fiji rugby league international Semi Radradra has been charged with three counts of domestic violence.

New South Wales Police took the Parramatta Eels winger into custody when he arrived at Sydney Airport from Fiji last night to be questioned over allegations from his former partner that he assaulted her over an eight-month period

Perina Ting made a statement to Police on Tuesday and applied for an apprehended violence order against the Kangaroos representative.

The 24-year-old was granted leave by the club to return to Fiji a fortnight ago for personal reasons.

He has been linked with a big-money move to French rugby union although his manager George Christodoulou denied the claims, saying Radradra will honour his contract with Parramatta, which runs until the end of the 2017 NRL season.

Radradra was initially expected to return to training with his Parramatta teamates on Wednesday but was granted yet another extension on his Fiji holiday to deal with personal issues.

Radradra, who is due to play for the Eels this weekend, will appear in Parramatta Local Court next Tuesday.
