The assault case against a Tongan noble representative has been adjourned for a second time over legal matters.

Lord Tu'iha'ateiho has been charged with assault, unlawful possession of ammunition, killing or maiming an animal, and causing a disturbance in Ha'ateiho.

Matangi Tonga reports a confrontation with another person resulted in the initial complaint against Lord Tu'iha'ateiho which led to police executing a search warrant at the noble's home.

Lord Tu'iha'ateiho, who is on bail, appeared briefly at the Nuku'alofa Magistrate's Court yesterday before his case was adjourned until May 24.

Police say a bullet was found at Lord Tu'iha'ateiho's home and he was arrested earlier this month.
