Fiji sugar reform consultations underway

Public consultations on reforming Fiji's sugar industry begin today in Fiji.

FBC News reports the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Economic Affairs will begin five days of consultations on the Sugar Reform Bill in Fiji's west.

The committee will be in Sigatoka today before moving towards Rakiraki and ending up in Labasa on Tuesday.

The bill is aimed at rejuvenating the sugar industry.
