Sport: Fiji and Samoa U20s in must-win clash

1:49 pm on 23 April 2016

Fiji and Samoa square off tonight in a must-win clash at the World Rugby Under 20 Trophy in Zimbabwe.

Both team's made a successful start to their campaigns mid-week, with Fiji coming from behind to beat Uruguay and Samoa outclassing the host nation in Pool B.

But with only the two pool winners advancing to next weekend's tournament final, whoever loses is likely stuck in the second-tier of age-grade rugby for another year.

The Baby Manu were relegated from the Under 20 Championship last season and head coach Ramsey Tomokino said their chances of a quick return rest on beating their Pacific neighbours.

"Both undefeated so obviously you can't afford to drop a game and this game probably really is the final for us - we have to treat it like that this Saturday," he said.

It's also a top of the table clash in Pool A, with first round winners Spain and Namibia going head to head.
