Samoa's Lands and Titles Court President, Tuala Tagaloa Sale Kerslake, has resigned from one of the judiciary's top posts after 11 years.

The chief executive of the justice minister, Papalii John Taimalelagi, says Tuala resigned because of family commitments.

The 62-year-old is a former MP and natural resources minister, who served under the ruling Human Rights Protection Party.

He is also a former Secretary of Justice.
