Sport: Cyclone Zena a worry for Fiji star Nadolo

12:24 pm on 7 April 2016

The Crusaders Flying Fijians winger Nemani Nadolo, will play this weekend's Super Rugby match against the Western Force in Perth with a heavy heart.

Nadolo's home village in Fiji was flooded by Tropical Cyclone Zena.

It's just six weeks since Cyclone Winston claimed 44 lives, left tens of thousands homeless and caused widespread destruction.

Nadolo said he was worried about his family's safety.

"It's been tough this morning, trying to get on the phone to them back home, and when it comes to back home I wear it on my sleeve man and I guess it just gives me more motivation to want to do well. Yeah, it chokes you up a little bit."

Nemani Nadolo is one of two Fiji internationals starting for the Crusaders this weekend, with Ben Volavola taking over the number 15 jersey, while countryman Jone Macilai is on the bench.
