Sport: Fiji finish last at U-19 Cricket World Cup

Fiji have ended the Under 19 Cricket World Cup winless and in last place after an eight wicket defeat to Canada.

Batting first in the playoff for 15th place, Fiji were dismissed for 83 inside 28 overs, with opening batsman Delaimatuku Maraiwai top-scoring with only 14 runs.

It was the fourth time in six matches the Melanesian side failed to reach three figures with the bat, with an average total of 91.

Canada made short work of the run-chase, reaching their target in 20 overs, with Sosoceni Weleilakeba and Vaibhav Kapadiawere the only Fiji bowlers to claim a wicket.

Peni Vuniwaqa finished the tournament as Fiji's top batsmen with 160 runs at an average of 26.7, while Cakacaka Tikoisuva collected 12 wickets at an average of 18.42.
