The Fiji police say they have identified suspects in the alleged beating of a man who took to the police an email which surfaced about an alleged plot to kill all government MPs.
The Fiji Times reports the police as saying while there was a breakthrough in the case, details surrounding the identification could not be made public as yet.
Rajneel Singh says he was beaten, tortured and left for dead in a forest last Friday, by men he believes to be police officers.
He says he was beaten after he made a statement about the discovery of an email outlining a plot to overthrow the government found on a computer at his internet cafe.
The police say they will not release any information as investigations are ongoing.
