Fiji's Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has launched a counter attack on the leader of the Opposition, saying Ro Teimumu Kepa has questions to answer on her own declaration of assets.

Mr Sayed Khaiyum said on Friday he had been cleared by the country's anti-corruption commission FICAC after Ro Teimumu filed a complaint he has falsely declared his assets with police and the Supervisor of Elections.

She accused Mr Sayed-Khaiyum of grossly undervaluing property he owned in Nadi.

According to the Fiji Sun, Mr Sayed Khaiyum says there are anomalies in the declaration of assets filed by Ro Teimumu.

He says he had done his own digging and found a difference of 450,000 Fiji dollars in the value of her property in Suva and the amount she has declared for land and buildings.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum has also questioned the declaration of assets by a member of Ro Teimumu's Sodelpa party, Mick Beddoes.
