Organisers of next year's Under 20 Women's Football World Cup in Papua New Guinea have met before next week's FIFA Executive Committee meeting.
PNG was awarded the hosting rights back in March, beating a rival bid from Sweden.
Sports Justin Tkatchenko, Oceania Football President David Chung and Local Organising Committee CEO Seamus Marten were joined by NCD Governor Powes Parkop and Executive Director of the PNG Sports Foundation Peter Tsiamalili Jnr on Friday.
David Chung, who is also the President of the Papua New Guinea Football Association, says, on the back of hosting the Pacific Games, the World Cup is an opportunity to help attract more world class events to PNG.
Organisers submitted a detailed dossier this week addressing concerns highlighted by football's world governing body, FIFA.
Matches have been proposed for the National Football Stadium, Sir Hubert Murray Stadium, Sir John Guise Stadium and a "pop-up" 5,000 seat venue at Bisini.
17 training venues have also been identified, with work to be done on bringing them up to the required standard, while the document offers more details on medical and security arrangements.
Papua New Guinea was also the only country to present a bid to host the 2016 Oceania Nations Cup, which Chung says will be perfect preparation for the main event later in the year.
