Official celebrations kicked off yesterday and will carry on until October 4 promoting the theme that your language is your identity.
A Tuvalu community radio programme broadcaster, Fala Haulangi, says the book, entitled Tala poto moilogo o Tuvalu, will help the next generation maintain their language and culture.
Fala Haulangi says events will be held throughout the country such as a camp in Oamaru in the South Island for Tuvaluan youths.
