The elections in the autonomous Papua New Guinea region began on Monday and within Bougainville itself will run for two weeks.
Polls for qualified voters have also been set up five centres around PNG including in the National Capital District, Rabaul, Lae, Madang and Goroka.
The acting Bougainville Electoral Commissioner, George Manu, is urging all eligible voters to ensure they cast their votes in the autonomous government poll, which runs until May the 25th.
