Delta Airlines is citing the continued devaluation of the Yen as well as fare declines for its decision to cut flights to the Northern Marianas this winter.

The reduction of flights to the islands coincides with the retirement of the airline's six B747-400s by the end of this year.
According to the Marianas Visitors Authority's latest arrival numbers, March saw a 51 percent decrease in air seat supply from Japan to the CNMI.
Japanese arrivals fell 34 percent to 8,808 visitors.
The airline says flights to Guam and Palau will remain unchanged.
