The MP and Public Accounts Committee chairman John Hickey has been arrested and charged by the police fraud squad in Papua New Guinea.

The Post Courier reports that Mr Hickey was released on 1800 US dollars bail due to health conditions.
The fraud squad has confirmed Mr Hickey is charged with three counts of official corruption, abuse of office and misappropriation involving over 260,000 dollars.
He is to appear in the Waigani Committal Court today.
