Inos gets Democrats backing in CNMI runoff

The CNMI Democratic Party has endorsed the territory's Republican Party bet Eloy Inos in the run off for the CNMI's governorship set for next week.

The incumbent and his running mate, Senate President Ralph Torres, face a runoff on November the 21st against the independent team of Heinz Hofschneider and Ray Yumul.

The Inos-Torres team say they are pleased to receive the endorsement of the Democratic Party's Edward DeLeon Guerrero and Daniel Quitugua.

Mr DeLeon Guerrero says he believes the CNMI is better off under the leadership of the Inos-Torres team.

The Commonwealth Election Commission board certified on Friday the results of the gubernatorial and special elections.

The runoff election will be held at the same polling places as the general elections and at the same time - from 7am to 7pm .

The seven-day early voting will start on November the 14th.
